Planet Explore Solar System Gemstone Dig Kit
We recently tested the 2026 Planet Explore Dig Kit to see if it could actually hold a child's attention for more than ten minutes. This solar system-themed excavation set provides a refreshing, tactile alternative to tablets and televisions.
Performance & Build Quality
The excavation molds are sturdy enough to provide a genuine challenge, requiring patience and steady hands to reveal the gems inside. The included tools are well-sized for younger children, making the process both safe and structurally sound.
Day-to-Day Experience
The process is straightforward: soak the planet, chip away at the exterior, and brush off the findings. Our testers loved the anticipation of finding hidden gems, and the planetary badges added a nice layer of educational reward to the experience.
This kit is perfect for parents of curious children who love geology or space and need an engaging, independent activity.
